PREPARE with DESCARTES LEARNING CENTER is a joint venture between PREPARE Academic Tutorials and Review and Descartes Learning Center which offers customized review programs designed to meet the increasing demand of today’s generation of students.

It comprises a group of young professionals based in Quezon City offering language, academic tutorial, and college entrance exams review courses. It prides itself with affordable but top-quality services, delivered by its first rate faculty.

The people behind PREPARE with DLC are all graduates of the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Coming from various academic backgrounds in which they have trained to become experts, they come together to offer a unique and fresh approach to learning.

PREPARE’s services fall into four categories: (1) Language Courses which include English, Tagalog and Basic Japanese, (2) Academic Tutorial Course for all subjects from Elementary to High School, and (3) UPCAT and other College Admissions Tests (CAT) Review Course.

For its CAT Review Course, PREPARE provides a comprehensive review package which gives emphasis to what the students actually need to learn in order to pass the CAT rather than generic and curriculum-based method adopted by others in the industry. This approach increases the students’ chances of passing and ensures that they get the most out of the study sessions.

PREPARE with DLC has the following general objectives:

1. Prepare high school students for the University of the Philippines and other College Admission Test intellectually and emotionally;
2. Facilitate understanding of difficult concepts in Science, Math, Language Proficiency and Reading; and
3. Provide practical tips in preparation for the exam.

Coverage of Review

Generally, CAT covers the following subjects- Mathematics, Science, Language Proficiency (English and Filipino), Reading Comprehension and Logical Reasoning / Abstract Reasoning.

We will also include sessions on Essay Writing Effectiveness, Successful Interview Tips and Essential Test-taking Strategies

Review Package

PREPARE’s Review Package consists of 52-hour review sessions. Students will also receive review materials and sample exams.

There will be an Orientation and Diagnostic Exam at the beginning and a Post-Evaluation Exam at the end of the program. This way PREPARE will be able to tailor sessions best suited to the students’ needs.

PREPARE will offer the review in April and May.


The following are the review dates for the April and May batch:

APRIL
9th Orientation and Diagnostic Test
19th-23rd and 26th-30th Review Proper
30th Test Taker’s Tips and Post Evaluation Exam

MAY
3rd Orientation and Diagnostic Test
10th – 14th and 17th -21st Review Proper
24th Test Taker’s Tips and Post Evaluation Exam

*Any changes in the review schedule will be announced at least a week before



Method of Payment

Upon enrolment, PREPARE with DLC requires a 50% down payment of the total package. The remaining 50% can be paid after the first 3 sessions. PREPARE with DLC only accepts payment in cash.

Package Cost

PREPARE with DLC offers the most affordable review package in the market--A comprehensive review package from UP graduates themselves for only P96.00/hr. Everything, for only P 5,000 per student.

Students, who will reserve a slot by paying the 50% downpayment on or before April 7th will be entitled to a discounted price of P 4,500. The reservation fee is non-refundable.
